Europa

London Conference: Human Economics

E-mailadres Afdrukken PDF

LondonThe second European JohannesAcademy Conference will be taking place in London. In december 2010, young Europeans will gather in the financial heart of Europe to discuss Human Economics. The city with its banks and multinationals is the place to be for us to experience Economics. But London has more to offer than economics; as capital of the historic British Empire it has a centuries long tradition of housing nationalities from all over the world. Humanity in all its variety is present.

This four day Conference will again bring you together with students and young professionals from diverse European countries; this time in the United Kingdom. Aided by university professors, experts and Brothers of Saint John, the search for truth will lead each participant into a deeper and more personal understanding of true human economics. The economy is per definition international; and so is the idea of humanity universal. How do we combine the two in our modern-day Europe?

Costs:
- € 95 for participants coming from England, Lituania and Roumania
- € 145 for participants coming from other countries.
This includes full accommodation, international travel expenses (flights) and other expenses for four days and five nights.

Interested?
Please make your first application as soon as possible: please follow this link.
Since the number of participants is limited, a selection will be made before the 1st of September.
Don’t wait to apply!

The Hague conference: 'Commitments for Peace'

E-mailadres Afdrukken PDF

Peace PalaceThe first European JohannesAcademy Conference will be taking place on April 24th-27th, 2010 at The Hague. What better place for a young European to address the theme of “Commitment for Peace” than in Europe’s main location for UN and International Tribunals and Courts focusing on international peace?

Commitment

This four day Conference in the Netherlands will bring you together with students and young professionals from diverse European countries. Aided by university professors, experts and Brothers of Saint John, the uniting factor will be the search for truth leading each participant into a deeper and more personal understanding of the complexity and fragility of abiding peace. Through the interaction with youth from across Europe your commitment to peace will be awakened and challenged by the organised and balanced program. The full implications of choosing peace will become more and more apparent to you as you tackle the essential questions that it involves in our modern-day Europe?
