Jesus the Christ

From here we could elaborate endlessly how in the mystery of Christ, who is the absolute invisible truth become visible that our faith adheres to, all seven archetypes are present. I’ll just give some hints. 

Jesus is the SON of Our lady, the BRIDEGROOM of the Church and He is a truthful witness for the FATHER who is in Him.

Thus is revealed in three ways that the Holy Spirit is given, is giving and is gift Himself. God is Gift.

The medium of Gods mediation is the flesh of the Son of man, received from Gods Mother and offered as a sacrifice to the heavenly Father. The supreme PRIEST in that way has made Himself the victim, in the same way as the Word of God has become man. This mysterious act is always with us in the holy Eucharist. By this sacrifice He is also the WARRIOR who saves us from the common enemy, the initiator of sin and cause of all threats to life, truth and happiness, who henceforth goes to his final perdition.

The lifeless body of Christ is the perfect image of his endless longing to see the glory of the Father in revealed in us. Our Lady, holding that body in her arms, is the perfect answer to that longing. Thus the mutual gift visible in the ‘pieta’ is the ultimate PROPHET, proclaiming in silence the only real prophesy left.

Christ and his Virgin Mother are one in one unique choice for each other. They are foreboding that we are going to choose, whether we like it or not, because time has come to an end. All other prophesies, if there are any, are of minor value. The simple truth is that, because Jesus Christ is the supreme JUDGE, his passage in this world has made everything ultimately simple. The End is with us now.

In his way Christ has also given the somewhat failed secondary archetype of KING a new meaning, a final answer to the people’s demand for a king that the prophet Samuel had not at all appreciated. But Jesus does so at the moment of what appears to be the most astonishing blunder of his government, letting himself be betrayed and giving himself up without resistance. From the cross it is clear that God by sacrificed innocence tries to provoke us for the last time to choose. The Kingdom is to be ruled by mercy.
